Web Design
Redesigning for a unified brand experience
project info
Brief
Shield is a LinkedIn analytics platform that provides data and insights on user activity and content performance. It helps individuals, teams, and large organizations monitor their LinkedIn presence and optimize engagement.
description
The previous website lacked visual consistency with the product, leading to a disconnected user experience. To unify the design, I ensured that the website closely resembled the product’s interface, creating a cohesive brand presence that reinforces familiarity and trust. The redesign also introduced an updated navigation system and a dedicated content hub, making accessing resources like the newsletter, blog, and academy easier.
Beyond improving aesthetics, the project required a strategic approach to SEO and user engagement. To drive organic traffic and improve discoverability, I designed and developed five product pages and five free tools entirely from scratch using code. These tools were not just visual enhancements but functional utilities that added value to users while significantly boosting Shield’s SEO performance. By integrating interactive elements and optimizing the structure for search visibility, the website became a key driver of growth for the platform.
objective
The primary goal was to create a website that seamlessly integrates with the product, providing users with a cohesive journey from first interaction to onboarding. The redesign prioritized consistency in typography, layout, and branding to ensure a fluid transition between the website and the product. By reinforcing this alignment, the website became an extension of the Shield experience rather than a separate entity. Another key objective was to enhance engagement through both interactive design and functional development. Motion and intuitive UI elements were incorporated to improve usability and navigation, while the custom-built tools and product pages were developed to increase organic reach and conversion rates. The site was optimized to convert visitors into trial users with a clear and structured funnel that guides users toward activation.
Outcome
The website redesign had a measurable impact on both engagement and business performance. SEO optimizations, combined with the newly developed tools, resulted in a 172% increase in total clicks and a 62% increase in impressions, significantly boosting organic traffic. The improved user journey and interactive experience also contributed to a 6.5% trial conversion rate, making the website a crucial part of Shield’s growth strategy.
